Are you looking for more balance in your life? Would you like to feel less stressed? Have more energy? Find new ways to manage difficulties?

Mindfulness-based stress reduction is an evidence-based approach that could help. Eight guided weekly sessions are designed to help you manage stress or other health problems by moving you toward greater balance, control and participation in your life.

Working with a supportive, encouraging approach, this programme includes:

  • Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation and mindful movement
  • Individually tailored instruction
  • A range of exercises to increase awareness in everyday life
  • Exercises and methods to enhance interpersonal communication
  • Daily assignments
  • CDs with meditation, relaxation and movement instructions

Facilitator:     Jillian Simpson RGON, MN, Dip TT, Dip Yoga T, Prof Cert CBT

A registered nurse, Jill has a passion for integrative medicine, and particular interest in the mind-body relationship. She has been trained to offer the MBSR course by staff from the Massachusetts Medical School, and has been involved in MBSR research here in NZ.

Jill is a qualified yoga teacher, adult educator, and cognitive behavioural therapy practitioner.
