Relieving my husband’s severe migraines

Robin Wilson - Holistic Wellness Therapies-66186-finalAfter finding a complementary practitioner who was able to relieve my husband’s severe, debilitating migraines, we were dismayed to learn he was leaving Hawkes Bay and moving countries. The migraines were due to many neck and head injuries incurred over the years and KST (Koren Specific Technique) the technique he offered, was the one thing that gave my husband relief.

I’d always had an interest in nutrition and natural remedies, but I hadn’t actively pursued it. This changed in 2010 when I started studying complementary therapies including KST. As a result, our lives have truly changed for the better. I feel so blessed that I am now able to positively help others change their lives by offering KST to clients.

So what is Koren Specific Technique (KST)?

KST is a very gentle but powerful energy therapy, which can be helpful for many different conditions. It’s probably very different to what you may have experienced in the past. Generally you will be fully clothed, standing or sitting instead of lying on the table.

How can KST help me?

I’ve helped people with a range of complaints from headaches, migraines, anxiety, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, severe itching, shoulder, neck, back, knee and hip issues, jaw and bite problems amongst other complaints.   It is also a method to identify food intolerances and environmental allergies.

How do you know what to adjust?

I use a form of muscle testing to determine what I need to adjust. You may have blockages and interferences, things that are not permitting you to be as healthy as you could be physically or emotionally. The wisdom of your body will guide me to the adjustment it needs at the time.

Is KST safe during pregnancy and for the elderly or children?

KST is safe, non-invasive and effective for all ages and during pregnancy.

When will I see results?

People leave a session with a real sense of calm and wellbeing. Every individual heals at a different rate. How quickly you feel better depends on how severe your issue is and how long it has been in place, as well as your overall state of physical and emotional health. Sometimes, you feel worse before you feel better. People have many layers and occasionally older symptoms (both physical and emotional) may resurface. The release and healing of old injuries is known as retracing and is usually part of the healing process.

My approach is to “get you back on track” ASAP so you can get on with life. This may involve a number of appointments or only one or two – everyone is unique and your body will guide me.
